Spokesman: Lifting sanctions may start late December
Tehran, Dec 14, IRNA - Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry announced here Monday that the process of removal of anti-Iran sanctions may start in late December.

Hossein Jaber Ansari made the announcement at his first weekly press briefing since he has been appointed to the post.

If the agreement known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) goes well, the time for its implementation will be within the next three weeks, Jaber Ansari said.

Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has a meeting tomorrow to appraise a recent report of IAEA chief on Iran's peaceful nuclear activity. If they decide on closure of the case called possible military dimensions (PMD), then the process of sanctions removal will start on December 22.

Turning to the letter sent to the Western Youth by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Jaber Ansari said the Foreign Ministry is taking due measures to be confident about correct circulation of the message of the letter.

Ayatollah Khamenei, in a letter addressed to the youth in the Western countries on November 29, described the bitter terrorist events in France as a ground for deliberation.

Referring to painful examples of the effects of terrorism, which is backed by certain big powers, on the Muslim world, [powerful countries] support for Israels state terrorism, and harmful military campaigns [launched] against the Muslim world in recent years, Ayatollah Khamenei said, I ask you, young people, to lay the foundation for an appropriate and honorable interaction with the Muslim world based on correct knowledge and with deep insight and by taking advantage of tragic experiences [of the past].
