TEHRAN (Tasnim) � Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin arrived in Tehran on Tuesday to discuss promotion of mutual cooperation between the two countries.

Diplomats at the Russian embassy in Tehran said Rogozin is scheduled to hold talks with Iran's Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mahmoud Vaezi, and Vice-President for Science and Technology Affairs Sorena Sattari during his two-day stay in Iran, Tass reported on Tuesday.

The report added that the Russian prime minister is also planned to sit down with Iran's First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri.

Dmitry Rogozin supervises the Russian aerospace industry, shipbuilding, maritime operations, prevention and elimination of emergency situations, and the defense manufacturing sector.
