Iran, Russia to launch tourism offices

Moscow, Nov 16, IRNA Iran and Russia have agreed to reciprocally launch tourism offices in their countries in order to promote related bilateral cooperation, deputy head of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (CHHTO) of Iran said here.

Samiollah Hosseini Makarem told IRNA that he held talks with the Russian officials on ways to widen bilateral cooperation in tourism area.

He said he travelled to Moscow to attend meeting of Iran-Russia Joint Economic Commission last week.

Referring to cordial political relations between Tehran and Moscow, the official hoped the two would witness further bilateral cooperation in tourism.

The Russian side is also interested in making investment in tourism area, he noted.

Meanwhile, Iran's minister of technology and Russia's minister of energy have inked an agreement on cooperation on Thursday. The agreement includes efforts to reach the 40 billion dollars' worth of economic exchange.
