Tehran, Nov 14, IRNA - Iraqi President Fuad Masum said he will take part in the upcoming summit meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) to be held in Tehran on November 23.

�In a meeting with Iranian ambassador to Iraq Hassan Danaei Fard, President Masum confirmed that he will participate in the Third GECF Summit,� said a statement on the website of the Iraqi Presidential Office.
He made the comments after being submitted the invitation of the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to the summit, Shana reported.
The GECF is the gathering of the world�s leading gas producers that provides a framework for exchange of experience, views, information and data, as well as coordination in gas related developments among member countries.
The 3rd Gas Summit will be attended by heads of state and government of GECF member countries as well as guest international organizations.
Previous GECF Gas summits were held in Qatar in 2011 and in Moscow in 2013.
