TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Countries Hossesin Amir-Abdollahian is in Beirut for talks with senior officials of the country.
He left for Beirut after his one-day visit to Russia.
The Iranian official and his Russian counterpart Mikhail Bogdanov discussed the latest developments in Syria in a meeting in the Russian capital on Tuesday.
The two officials underscored the need for the convergence of the countries' stances about regional policies in the run-up to upcoming international talks on Syria in the Austrian capital of Vienna.
Amir-Abdollahian plans to meet with a number of Lebanese officials during his visit to Lebanon.
