At least three people, including two American soldiers, have been killed in a shooting at a training facility near the Jordanian capital, Amman, security sources say.

One South African national was the other victim killed in the incident which took place at the US-funded facility, located in Muaqar in east Amman, on Monday.

The facility is said to be used for�training Iraqi and Palestinian security forces.

Two American soldiers and four Jordanians were also injured in the attack. The assailant was also gunned down.

It is not immediately clear what prompted the attack.
