He arrived in Tehran on Tuesday and plans to discuss issues of mutual interests as well as key regional and international developments with Iranian officials.
Mekdad would meet with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif and Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Countries Hossein Amir-Abdollahian as well as other Iranian officials.
He would also focus on Syria crisis and fighting terrorism.
