South Korean FM due in Tehran
Beijing, Nov 3, IRNA Foreign Minister of South Korea, Yun Byung-se, is scheduled to visit Iran on Saturday (Nov. 7), South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported on Tuesday.

During his Tehran visit, Yun is to hold talks with his Iranian counterpart, Mohammad Javad Zarif, on wide-ranging issues, including progress in the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), bilateral ties and the political situation in their respective regions, the South Korean Foreign Ministry said in a statement that was released by Yonhap.

Yun and Zarif held talks on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly last year and again in September, the news agency added.

Yun's visit to Tehran on Saturday will be the first by a South Korean foreign minister in 14 years, Yonhap reported.

On July 14, Iran and the six world powers reached a comprehensive agreement on nuclear issues and put an end to over ten years of negotiations.

According to the agreement, the UN Security Council's bans on Iran and the unilateral sanctions imposed on Tehran by the US and the European Union will be removed in return for some measures taken by Iran regarding its nuclear program.
