Spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham congratulated the government and nation of Turkey over the successful elections with high participation of voters in the brotherly and friendly country.

She expressed the hope that with formation of the new government, bilateral relations between Iran and Turkey will further develop in all areas.

Unofficial results of the Sunday elections show that the ruling AKP politicians will stay in power.
