Mashad, Oct 31, IRNA - Head of Red Crescent Society in Taibad Gholamreza Sayyadi said on Saturday that Iran had sent relief aid consignment to quake stricken people in Afghanistan through Dogharoun border crossing.

Speaking to IRNA, he said after initial assessments by the Iranian team three truck loads containing 20 tons of relief aid such as tents, blankets, and mats were shipped to Afghanistan.
Immediately after quake in Afghanistan, Iran's Red Crescent Society voiced readiness for dispatch of humanitarian aid to the Afghan people, he said.
