Rome, Oct 31, IRNA Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni on Saturday called Iran's presence in Vienna talks on Syria crisis as 'miracle'.
According to Italian daily Corriere della Sera, the Italian foreign minister described the Vienna meeting as very positive.
'Although Iran's stance differ from ours but the country's participation in the meeting was very significant,' he said.
Participation of countries backing (Syrian President) Bashar Assad at this round of talks is like a miracle, he said.
The positive point was that all sides reached the conclusion that Syrian crisis has no military solution, he said.
Iran welcomed shift of political power in Syria but with different political stands as the country is opposed to ousting Assad from power, he said.
Next meeting on Syria is to be held within thenext ten to fifteen days, the Italian foreign minister said.
Russia, Turkey, Egypt, France, US, Britain, Jordon, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Germany, Iran, Iraq, Oman and Lebanon took part in Vienna talks on Syria.
The participating countries discussed ways to put an end to Syrian crisis through holding nationwide elections leading to formation of a government supported by all Syrian groups.
