TEHRAN (FNA)- Syrian warplanes launched air raids against hideouts and concentration centers of the ISIL terrorists in Deir Ezzur province, leaving a large group of them dead.
On Sunday, the airstrikes hit ISIL positions in al-Mriyeh town, 10 kilometers to the East of Deir Ezzur city, killing a number of the terrorists and destroying their vehicles.
The Syrian fighter jets also pounded axes of movements and positions of the ISIL Takfiri militants in Mheimdiyeh village in Kasra area to the West of Deir Ezzur city, leaving a group of militants dead and injured.
Three vehicles equipped with heavy machine guns, two tanks, a canon and a command center belonging to the terrorists were also destroyed.
Meanwhile, the armys artillery targeted ISIL terrorists who were moving on al-Jnaina road, destroying a vehicle equipped with a heavy machinegun and killing and injuring the terrorists on board.
Separately, the army conducted military operations against ISIL hideouts in Kroum hill and East of Deir Ezzur.
Also on Sunday, ISIL's strongholds in Ayyash area, in the Eastern province of Deir Ezzur, were massively shelled by the artillery units of the Syrian Army.
Local sources said that the ISIL militants suffered heavy casualties in the heavily targeted areas in Ayyash and its surroundings and were pinned down after the Syrian army artillery attack.
