Iran ranks 9 among 67 countries in women political participation
Tehran, October 15, The Iran Project Head of the Education Department of Tehran Province announced that Iran ranks 9 among 67 countries in women political participation.

Esfandiar Chaharband, head of the Education Department of Tehran Province made the remarks on Thursday in the IRGC Women Association ceremony to confront the enemy's soft war.

He noted the colonization efforts to prove the inconsistency between social progress and Islamic values protection in Islamic societies, referring to the ban on hijab policy which was pursued by Reza Shah until the Islamic revolution in 1979.

He then underlined the strong social participation of Iranian women, adding that Iranian women currently account for 69% of all civil and social organizations' members in Iran.

Chaharband went on to say that in terms of political participation, Iranian women rank nine among 67 countries in the world.

"The Islamic country enemies tend to deny the Iranian women capabilities due to Islamic dress code, but the current statistics confirm Iranian women's powerful engagement in the society," he said elsewhere in his remarks.
