Iran ready to cooperate with world cyber police

Tehran, Oct 7, IRNA - Deputy Police Chief Brigadier General Eskandar Momeni said here on Wednesday that Iran is ready to fully cooperate with world cyber police to tackle crimes associated in this field.

Momeni made the remarks in a meeting attended by ambassadors and charge d'affaires from various countries in Tehran.

'Iran is also ready to hold an educational workshop in the field of preventing cyber crimes,' he added.

Momeni also voiced Iran's willingness to share its valuable experiences with other countries in tackling cyber crimes.

Speaking in a same gathering, Foreign Ministry Deputy for Consular and Parliamentary Affairs Hassan Qashqavi said there are no restrictions on signing legal and penal agreements with other countries.

He said the agreement could cover such areas of legal assistance in civil and penal cases, transfer of convicted nationals into Iran and repatriation of offenders.

He said given the overwhelming wave of terrorism, organized crimes, drugs trafficking, human trafficking and cyber offenses, it is extremely urgent to sign agreements with other countries on these areas.

Qashqavi also urged other countries to sign similar agreements to help materialize a world free of terrorism.
