IRGC ready to defend Muslim dignity

Tehran, Oct 3, IRNA Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said his forces are ready to defend Muslims' dignity, the Iranians' in particular, when necessary at any time or region.

The IRGC is ready for tough and quick response to fulfill the Supreme Leader's will and make the Saudi rulers bear responsibility for the Mina incident, Brigadier General Mohammad-Ali Jafari said.

'We are waiting for due order,' said the commander.

The IRGC forces will seek revenge for the death of 465 Iranian pilgrims killed in Mina tragedy on September 24, he added.

Islamic world has been swamped with the Saudi rulers' crimes including those in Yemen, Bahrain, Iraq and Syria, said the commander.

He added the Saudi rulers will be overwhelmed by the Muslim anger soon.

The disaster occurred when according to reports two large groups of pilgrims arrived together at a crossroads in Mina, a few kilometers east of Mecca, on their way to perform the 'stoning of the devil' ritual at Jamarat.

The event serves to raise the name of Hajj victims in the world and initiate a wave to condemnation of the incompetence and mismanagement of the Saudi officials in administrating Muslims' largest annual ritual.

Some 465 Iranian pilgrims have been confirmed dead with 14 others wounded.
