Iran ready to raise oil export to 6mn barrels a day

TEHRAN, Sep. 30 (MNA) Managing director of the Iranian Oil Terminals Company (IOTC) has announced a daily throughput of 6 million barrels for Irans oil export.


Reviewing the latest status of Irans oil terminals with regard to increasing oil exports during the post-sanction era, Seyed Pirouz Mousavi said that, currently, we have accomplished overhaul, reconstruction and renovation of facilities, docks and storage tanks at Irans oil terminals in the Persian Gulf.

Noting that there are no restrictions on increasing crude oil export through oil terminals, Mousavi asserted that, at the moment, the throughput of the countrys oil export via oil terminals has reached six million barrels per day.

Due to overhaul and dredging of our terminals, we havethe ability to receiveworlds giant tankersat Kharg oil terminal as the worlds largest oil terminal.

We already have costumers for all the oil available in our terminals, said Mousavi adding that, by the removal of sanctions we will increase oil production by 500 barrels per day."

Stressing that currently we have no operational restrictions on welcoming foreign tankers during the post-sanction era, managing director of IOTC concluded that, Iran possesses the most secure oil terminals for docking and separation of foreign oil tankers.
