TEHRAN, Sep. 20 (MNA) Irans president will leave Tehran for New York on September 25 in order to attend the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
During his trip, President Rouhani will address the UNGA explaining Irans view on the most important international issues; moreover, he will meet with heads and officials of other countries.
Rouhani will also meet with Iranians residing in the US and will have interviews with various media and television networks.
This would mark Rouhanis third visit to the United Nations as the president of Iran while during his first attendance he called for a World against Violence and Violent Extremism which was approved by UN members unanimously.
Poitning to the presidents third visit to New York, Vice President for Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Hojjat al-Islam Majid Ansari said yesterday that, Rouhani will attend the UN General Assembly Summit in order to defend the image of Islam on behalf of Iranians.
Rouhani offered the plan of a world free of violence in previous years which was received warmly by the world and today everyone is ready to hear the message of peace based on mutual rights, asserted Ansari.
