Tehran, Sept 11, IRNA - Iran finished third at the 45th Asian Weightlifting Championships in the Thailand city of Phuket on Friday.

China and Thiland stood top and second on 516 and 510 points respectively while Iran won 499 points.

The fourth to sixth titles went to Kazakhstan, North Korea, and Taipei China.

Due to the devastating earthquake in Nepal, the 26th Senior Women�s and 45th Senior Men�s Asian Weightlifting Championships took place in Phuket.

Between September 6 and 11, almost 400 athletes from 38 countries flexed their muscles as they battle against gravity at Saphan Hin�s 4,000-seat Indoor Sports Complex.
