Tehran, Sept 9, IRNA Vice-President and Head of the Department of Environment Massoumeh Ebtekar said Iran welcomes international technology and investment in the areas of climate change and environment.
She made the remarks at the Global Cleantech Summit 2015 in Finland.
Ms. Ebtekar was addressing the summit as the main speaker.
In her speech, Ebtekar referred to July 14 nuclear agreement between Iran and the six world powers as Tehran's successful diplomacy.
Referring to Iran's active presence in the recent 2015 Paris Climate Conference, she said global interaction can carry the message of peace and hope.
Such interaction can be a proper response to extremism and terrorism, added she.
Ebtekar attended the Helsinki Summit at the invitation of the Minister of Employment and Economy of Finland Olli Rehn.
In Finland, she held separate meetings with several Finnish ministers including Rehn.
The 2015 Global Cleantech Summit has been held in Helsinki, Finland, since September 8.
It will end on September 10.
