Deputy FM slams Britain for violating Syria's national sovereignty

TEHRAN (FNA)- Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Meqdad blasted Britain for conducting airstrikes in his country, and warned that any move against the ISIL terrorist group should first be coordinated with the Damascus government.

"Any move against the ISIL in Syria should be in coordination with the Syrian government," Meqdad said on Tuesday in reaction to Britain's airstrikes in Syria.

British Prime Minister David Cameron claimed on Monday that for the first time two Britons were killed in the British airstrikes on the ISIL's positions in Syria.

Britain's air force carried out a drone attack on the ISIL's positions in Reqqa in late August.

The target of Britain's drone attack was Reyaad Khan, a 21-year-old from Cardiff who had featured in an ISIL recruiting video footage last year. Two other ISIL fighters were killed in the attack on the Syrian city of Reqqa on August 21; one of them, Ruhul Amin, 26, was also British.

The US-led coalition forces in their airstrikes have killed many civilians across Syria on the pretext of fighting the ISIL terrorist group.

In July, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights confirmed that at least 30 people had been killed in just two days in the US airstrikes on Reqqa in Syria.

Syria has been targeted by the international terrorist groups, including al-Qaeda, al-Nusra Front, Ahrar al-Sham, Ansar al-Sham and the ISIL since 2011.

Full supports of certain western powers and their regional allies fueled security crisis in Syria, but the country's army and government did not take even one step back in their anti-terrorism campaign, and have vowed to continue their fight until eradication of insurgency and restoration of peace and tranquility to the Middle-Eastern country.

According to reports, the western powers and their regional allies, specially Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey, are supporting the militants operating inside Syria.
