Amir Abdollahian: Regional countries' security intermingled

Tehran, Aug 31, IRNA Regional countries' security and stability are intermingled with one another; Iran has always worked for boosting regional security and stability, and is opposed to any move leading to destabilizing regional peace and security, said Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Monday.

'Iran's fixed strategy is expansion of relations with all world countries, especially with the Islamic, neighboring, and regional countries,' said the deputy foreign minister for Arab and African affairs in a meeting with a delegation of Lebanese parties' members and political activists.

The senior Iranian diplomat stressed that the Zionist regime of Israel, is on the contrary, constantly working to intrigue regional disputes, tension, and instability to secure its own illegitimate regime's security.

Amir-Abdollahian praised the regional resistance front for its brave campaign against terrorism and extremism, stressing that fighting against such phenomena is the fixed strategy of Iran.

He, meanwhile, emphasized that Iran has always stressed seeking political and diplomatic solutions for the regional crises and opposed military options and foreign interference, which merely aggravates and intensifies them.

He set example of the Saudi regime's aggressive military intervention in Yemen, terming it 'a grave strategic mistake', which is 'beneath the dignity of and Arab country'.

The Iranian diplomat once again stressed Iran's readiness for mediating to resolve the Saudi-made crisis in Yemen.

Amir-Abdollahian at the end expressed hope that the fate of Imam Musa Sadr, which is still a serious concern for his esteemed family members will be pursued and finalized in any possible way by the Lebanese and Libyan officials.
