Berlin, Aug 24, IRNA -- The German government on Monday rejected Israeli
regime's allegations about Iran being behind a recent missile strike from Syrian
territory.
German Foreign Ministry Spokesman Martin Schaefer told media representatives
in Berlin he had 'no own information' as to who launched the rocket attack and as to who was taking political responsibility for the action.
'We are aware of the Israeli accusations against Iran but we simply cannot verify it,' he made clear.
Asked specifically whether these baseless Israeli claims could be part of a plot to sabotage the Iranian nuclear agreement, Schaefer replied, 'I cannot judge that. I can't imagine that.'
The German diplomat reiterated there are differences with Israel when it came to accepting the Iranian nuclear deal.
