Narges Abyar�s acclaimed feature film �Track 143� will be screened at two film festivals in Russia and Japan.
The film is an entry in the Aichi International Women�s Film Festival (AIWFF) in Nagoya, Japan, slated for September 1-6, Mehr News Agency reported.
A Russian festival will also screen the film. Kazan International Muslim Film Festival, September 1-11, in the Republic of Tatarstan, will show �Track 143�.
A screen adaptation of Abyar�s novel �The Third Eye�, the movie tells the story of a mother waiting for her son who has gone missing in the 1980-1988 Iraq-Iran war.
�Track 143� has already attended several Asian festivals and won Special Jury Award for Best Actress (Merila Zarei) at the Asia-Pacific Film Festival in Australia, as well as the Audience Award for Best Film at annual Reel Sydney Festival of World Cinema.
Abyar is currently directing her third feature film �Breath�. A social drama, the new movie deals with another aspect of the Iraqi imposed war and �its effect on the people in modern times.�
