TEHRAN (FNA)- No Iranian national has been arrested in Kuwait for alleged charges of keeping weapons cache, an informed source said on Wednesday.
"Such reports are not based on the required news standards and are fabricated and worthless pieces of news released for certain purposes," the source said.
"The main motivation behind such fake news is targeting the good relations between Tehran and Kuwait, and given the two sides' awareness, such media hypes are of no impact," the source added.
Some Arab media outlets had claimed earlier this week that Kuwaiti authorities had seized a huge arms cache smuggled from Iraq and hidden beneath houses near the border, arresting three suspected members of a militant cell that was plotting to destabilize the country.
"The three men arrested were the owners of the houses," they said, alleging that the arrested people were linked to Iran.
