Turkish trade delegation to visit Iran

Ankara, Aug 8, IRNA Commercial Attach of Iranian Embassy in Ankara announced on Saturday that a high ranking trade delegation will visit Iran.

Turkish Deputy Minister of Economy Adnan Yildirim is heading the delegation.
Hamid Zadboom told IRNA that representatives from big Turkish companies and the private sector are due to come to Iran.
The delegation will arrive in Tehran on Saturday and they will participate in inauguration ceremony of Tehran International Construction Exhibition on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Zadboom said that delegations from Iran's Chamber of Commerce as well as chamber of commerce from different provinces of Iran will visit Turkey in the next two months.
In the meantime, delegations from Turkey private sector, provincial chamber of commerce, Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association, Turkey Contractors Association, Turkey Chamber of Commerce will visit Iran as well.
He added that Trade preferential Agreement between Iran and Turkey being in force since beginning of the year, was the first step to develop economic and trade cooperation.
Trade Preferential Agreement between Iran and Turkey included 265 items, making up for less than 10 percent of total trade between the two countries.
Trade between Iran and Turkey stood at 5.437.532 billion dollars in the first half of the year 2015 down by more than 16.5 percent in comparison with the same period of preceding year.
In the first half of the year, while Turkey's export to Iran increased 30.4 percent, its imports decreased 30 percent and a big part of the decrease in import caused by reduction in oil price in world market.
Trade between Iran and Turkey was 14.575.728 billion dollars in year 2013. The amount decreased 854.107 million dollars in 2014 and reached 13.721.621 billion dollars.
