TEHRAN, Jul. 28 (MNA) � Deputy Parliament speaker has told a meeting on Monday that Parliament role would become redundant if Supreme National Security Council steps in examination of the nuclear deal.

Mohammad Reza Bahonar who was speaking in a press conference, warned that the nuclear deal should not be a point of discord and conflict for political forces; �expert-level discussions aside, this is an issue of national importance and should not be a source of discord and factionalism; I would ensure you that in all examinations and decisions about nuclear deal, all will articulate a single opinion; and different and overriding decisions by the Parliament and Supreme National Security Council are already ruled out; nuclear deal however would not provide a pretext for some circles for partisan interests in working out of it as an election campaign material,� he proposed.

He said that the Parliament would announce the combination of the Special Commission of JCPOA by next two weeks; �we are working to invite and allow different voices from different parties and factions in the Parliament for membership in the Commission; and what is to be announced by Parliament will be a single voice,� he added.

�If SNSC steps in examination of the JCPOA, then, there will be no necessary role for Parliament to work in parallel with the Council in examining the JCPOA; we preferred that the government should have brought it to the Parliament as a bill,� said Bahonar, �however, reports by Zarif and Salehi would not constitute a bill by government to the Parliament.�

In response to a question by Mehr News correspondent about the mechanisms of announcing the combination of the JCPOA Special Commission, Bahonar said that the commission establishment would mean a serious examination of the JCPOA by the Parliament; he rejected the stories that Parliament would only superficially examine the nuclear deal; �we will be in total harmony with the SNSC and the best effort will be waged so that the issue would not create rift in the Parliament; we will work to place members who are expert in the issue in the Special Commission, such as parliamentarians member to National Security and Foreign Policy, Legal and Judiciary, Energy, and Budget and Planning Commissions,� Bahonar detailed, adding all other factions of the Parliament as a possible source of recruitment for the Special Commission.
