Tehran, July 25, IRNA Caretaker of Civil Aviation Organization said that a delegation from French Civil Aviation Organization is to visit Iran soon.
Mohammad Khoda-Karami said the French delegation is to discuss increase in the weekly flights between Tehran and Paris from three at present to ten with relevant Iranian officials.
He also announced increases in international flights from Iran to London, Paris, Germany, Russia and Turkey.
Concerning Germany, Khoda-Karami said that currently there are 14 flights from Iran to Germany per week, which should be raised because of rising demands.
The official said that now there are seven weekly flights to Russia which should be increased to 28.
He also said that Iran and Italy were now in talks to increase the number of flights between the two countries which now stands at four per week. The number of flights between Iran and Turkey is 70 which would increase to 100 soon.
He also spoke about plans to increase flights from Iran to the Persian Gulf littoral states, Australia and Denmark.
The CAO caretaker said that the organization has received offers on purchase of new planes and establishment of maintenance and repair centers in Iran as well as radar equipment.
