TEHRAN, Jul. 12 (MNA) Tehran will be hosting an international exhibition of film technology in winter, deputy director for film industry development said on Saturday.
Seyed Mostafa Abtahi, Deputy Director for Film Industry Development of Cinema Organization of Iran (COI) told Mehr News correspondent on Saturday that a number of foreign countries were expected to attend the exhibit to present their latest products and in turn, become introduced to Irans cinema equipment and technology.
Noting that Irans recent achievements in cinema technology present a good opportunity for neighboring countries to procure their equipment from Iran at a reasonable price, Abtahi said I think the regional countries are looking for equipment at reasonable prices and this market will provide them with that.
He also maintained that Iranian companies have made considerable progress in producing high-standard cinematic equipment and said some 50 domestic companies are currently active in the fields of cinematography, ground and aerial filming, editing, sound studios and special effects.
The international exhibition organized by COI in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology Affairs will be held in Tehran next winter.
