Abadan, Khuzestan prov, June 10, IRNA � Direct flight between Abadan in southwestern province of Khuzestan and Kuwait began operating by Aseman Airlines on Wednesday.


Manager of Abadan's Ayatollah Jami International Airport told reporters that local officials were demanding resumption of the flight over the past two years.


He said that this flight will operate every Saturday and Wednesday.


The first flight from Abadan to Kuwait left the southwestern Iranian city for the Arab country today at 13:30 local time.
