TEHRAN May 31(Shana)--An isomerization unit is to be constructed at Shiraz oil refinery for the production of euro-4 gasoline, the refiner�s managing director said.
Abdorrahim Shamsoddini said the facility would be built with a $55 million investment.

�By virtue of policies promulgated by the Ministry of Petroleum with regard to the renovation of oil refineries in the country, Shiraz refinery plans to produce high-quality gasoline and gasoil,� he said.

Shamsoddini said the isomerization plant would have a capacity of 6,500 b/d, adding that the project is forecast to be over in three years.
Iran is focusing on the production of euro-4 gasoline in order to curb growing air pollution in big cities.
