TEHRAN May 06(Shana)--Iran is to raise its euro-4 gasoline production to 24 million liters a day, up 4 million liters a day, in June, a top official said.
Saeed Mahjoubi, a top official with National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC), made the remarks on the sidelines of Tehran Oil and Gas Show.
He said Iran is producing 62 million liters of gasoline, 20 million liters of which is euro-4 grade.
Mahjoubi said Abadan oil refinery is to account for the extra 4 ml/d of euro-4 gasoline.
Iran is distributing euro-4 gasoline in big cities in a bid to reduce air pollution.
