TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran exported $400.000 of coal two years ago, data released by the Statistical Center of Iran (SCI) suggested.
Iran extracted 2.500 tons of coal from 101 mines during the period which reached $133.000.000.
The country sold 2.2 million tons of coal worth $100.000.000, $389.000 of which was exported coal.
Iran is one of the most important mineral producers in the world, ranked among 15 major mineral-rich countries, holding some 68 types of minerals, 37bln tons of proven reserves and more than 57bln tons of potential reserves.
