Iran to witness bright economic future: official

Tehran, May 4, IRNA -- Chairman of Irans Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture Gholam-Hossein Shafei sees bright future for the country's economy.

New economic opportunities have been created for friendly states including Poland to use, Shafei said while speaking in the meeting of Iran-Poland trade conference.

100-member delegation of Poland was present in the meeting.

Shafei further stressed expansion of Tehran-Warsaw relations in the areas of energy, oil, chemistry, production of medicine and new technology.

Due to its good plans, Poland witnessed quite little hurt from the economic recession compared to other European states, said he, adding Iran is interested in boosting trade relations with Poland.

Referring to Poland's geographical and strategic situation in the Eastern Europe and the European Union (EU), Shafei said it can be Iran's entry to Belarus, Ukraine, Russia and other EU countries.

In response, he said, Iran can be a gate for Poland to reach the countries in the Central Asia and Middle East.

On sanctions and their impacts on Iran's economic relations, the official said the new Iranian government has entered the country into a new economic atmosphere.

Different world states now have expressed readiness to play active role in economic relations with Iran, he added.

Expressing satisfaction over the travel of the Poland's delegation to Iran, Shafei called it as a new chapter in upgrading trade exchanges between the two nations.
