The winners of the 33rd Fajr International Film Festival have been announced, with films from India, Turkey and the host, Iran, winning major prizes.
The winners were named in a ceremony marking the end of the festival in Tehran on Saturday, in which senior Iranian officials and major cinema stars were in attendance.
Master Govardhan of India won the award for the best actor for starring in Perariyathavar (Names Unknown) a film by the renowned Indian director, Bijukumar Damodaran.
Amir-Hossein Asghari of Iran won the special award of the jury for his film, The Borderless.
The Fajr award for the best original screenplay went to Chen Yang, Wang Ning, Luo Siwei, Sun Haifan, Li Dan, Di Songzhang, Zhang Peng, the screenwriters of Factory Boss, a 2014 Chinese film directed by Zhang Wei.
The award for the best director went to a Turkish filmmaker, identified on the website of the festival as Faruq Haji Haf?zo?lu, for The Adventurers.
Siddharth, Indian-Canadian drama film directed by Richie Mehta won the best film award.
