TEHRAN (FNA)- Gas leak poisoned several workers of Iran's most complicated oil refinery near the Central city of Arak.

The incident which happened at 9:30 local time in the sour water (wastewater produced during many refining processes) unit of Arak refinery, in the Central province of Markazi, was blamed on ignorance of the personnel in meeting the HSE instructions for repairing the unit.


Reports said that 7 workers were gas poisoned, 4 of them in critical conditions.


The patients were transferred to a hospital in Arak city.
