TEHRAN April 26(Shana)--A five-member Chinese delegation has visited petrochemical plants in Mahshahr Port, governor of Mahshahr Port said.

�During this visit, construction of joint industrial park by Iran and China in Mahshahr Park was discussed,� Mansour Qamar said.

He said that the Iranian government welcomes joint venture projects with China particularly in petrochemical sector in Mahshahr.

Qamar said China is Iran�s strategic economic partner, and called for private sector involvement in Mahshahr�s petrochemical projects.

Mahshahr Economic Petrochemical zone, with the annual production of 16 million tons of petrochemicals, is the leading producer of petrochemicals in the Middle East.
