Iran eyes 20% growth in non-oil exports

TEHRAN April 21(Shana)--A deputy minister of industry, mine and trade has said that Iran hopes for a 20% increase in its non-oil exports.

Motjaba Khosrwotaj said Iran is planning to earn $60 billion from non-oil exports this calendar year which ends in March 2016.

He said that the planned non-oil exports hike is part of governments program for reducing annual budgets dependence on crude oil.

Khosrowtaj said reaching this target is possible given Irans economic conditions.
He also said that Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade is ready to cooperate with different industrial sectors in view of facilitating and boosting non-oil exports.

China, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, India and Afghanistan have been the main destinations for Irans exports.
