Tehran, April 20, IRNA Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan said Monday Iran is seeking to promote defense and military cooperation with Azerbaijan.
Upon arrival in the Azeri capital, Dehqan hoped Tehran and Baku would pave the way for implementation of agreement of bilateral defense cooperation.
He told reporters that his Baku visit aims at holding bilateral talks with top Azeri officials on the important international and regional developments.
Today, the important questions to the World of Islam are the issues of extremism and Takfiri movements which are serious threats to the Muslim states and the world security.
The Baku visit is made at the official invitation of Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov.
