Moscow, April 17, IRNA Iranian and Chinese defense ministers stressed Tehran and Beijing's resolve to strengthen bilateral ties in defense sector.
During a meeting on the sidelines of International Security Conference in Moscow, Hossein Dehqan and Chang Wanquan also discussed regional and international issues.
Wanquan expressed pleasure over excellent bilateral ties, saying, that the two countries have managed to keep the 'Silk Road' still vital through cooperation and foiling foreign pressures.
Hailing history of Iran-China defense ties, he said, 'Iran's armed forces are our good friends.'
Describing Dehqan's visit to Beijing last year as useful and successful, he said that the trip played a crucial role in development and deepening of bilateral defense ties.
Wanquan welcomed his Iranian counterpart's remarks during Moscow Security Conference, saying that holding trilateral Iran-Russia-China summit is a valuable proposal laid out by Iran.
Dehqan, for his part, said that Iran and China enjoyed a successful defense cooperation.
He said their resolve to deepen collaboration will further consolidate relations.
Referring to sensitive regional situation, he further noted that expansion of Takfiri group and ISIL's clout in East Asia is in tantamount to threatening China, Caucasus and Central Asia security.
Therefore, regional states should have serious interaction and cooperation with each other to fully eliminate Takfiri-Zionist groups.
Appreciating China for its constructive role in the process of nuclear talks, Dehqan said that revoking all sanctions simultaneously with signing a deal are among main objectives of Iran.
Iran-Russia-China summit slated to be held in near future can prove effective in warding off joint threats and removing regional security problems, Dehqan contended.
He is in Russia to take part in the Fourth International Security Conference in Moscow.
