Tehran, April 13, IRNA Governor of Central Bank of Iran (CBI) Valiollah Seyf will travel to Washington to take part in the IMF spring session.
Based on reports available, Minister of Economy and Finance Ali Tayebnia has withdrawn his plan to visit Washington.
Finance ministers and central bank governors of 188 countries will gather in Washington this week.
The IMF-World Bank spring meetings are likely to feature discussions on Greece's efforts to ease the terms of its bailout, and crushing debt in the Ukraine and Brazil. Two seminars on financial regulation and monetary policy will spotlight former Federal Reserve chiefs Paul Volcker and Ben Bernanke. Others will tackle a dizzying array of global dilemmas, including cheap oil, the future of food, the world's aging population and the Ebola crisis the last featuring U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki Moon.
