SNSC chief to visit Moscow for Shanghai conference

Tehran, April 12, IRNA Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani is to visit Moscow tomorrow.

He is making the visit to take part in the 10th meeting of the National Coordinators of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

Shamkhani is to hold meetings with a number of Russian security and political officials as well as his counterparts from other countries.

The event is to kick off on Monday with participation of its member states namely Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan and the representatives of the supervising states including Afghanistan, India, Iran, Mongolia and Pakistan.

It is to focus on security in regional developments.

Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) was established in June 2001.
