Supreme Leader supports negotiating team

Tehran, April 9, IRNA Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Thursday that he has always supported and will support Iran's nuclear negating team despite he was not optimistic about the outcome.

The Supreme Leader made the remarks in a ceremony to celebrate the auspicious birth anniversary of Hazrat Zahra (SA), the beloved daughter of Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

The Supreme Leader said that some say that the Leader was aware of the details of the framework deal, it is not the case.

The Supreme Leader said that he was sensitive about provisions of the comprehensive deal, but he did not involved in details of the talks and he will not do so afterwards.

'I have reminded president (Rouhani) and sometimes foreign minister about major issues, frameworks and red lines but the details were within their own authority,' Ayatollah Khamenei said.

'I have confidence in nuclear negotiators and I have no doubt about their performance, but, I am seriously seeking the Iranian preferences to be included in the final deal.'

The Leader cautioned against hurry and exaggeration about the framework deal, saying, 'We should wait and see what will happen.'

Ayatollah Khamenei called on the officials to brief elites about details and realities because there exist no confidential thing about.

The Supreme Leader said that nuclear industry as a necessity for the country and that the so-called intellectuals have been deceived saying the nuclear program is useless.

He said that total termination of sanctions is one of the national demands, adding that the issue is very important and all of the sanctions must be lifted on the same day of putting the signature.

On the humanitarian plight underway in Yemen due to Saudi aggression and indiscriminate bombardment of the civilian targets in Yemen by the Saudi Air Force, the Supreme leader said that Saudis committed the same mistakes in Yemen as Zionists did in Gaza.

They set a bad precedent in the region, He said.

The Supreme Leader termed the Saudi aggression on Yemen as crimes against humanity, genocide and said that the International Criminal Court must take action against those involved in massacre of women and children, destruction of houses and demolition of buildings and national assets.

The Saudis will certainly suffer losses and will in no way achieve victory, He said.

Commenting on reasons for Saudis' failure in invasion on Yemen, He said that Zionists boasted military potential several times as much as Saudis against a small enclave of Gaza, but they failed to merge victorious. It is while Saudis have invaded Yemen which is a big country with a huge population.

Describing Yemen as a country with an ancient civilization, the Leader called on the Saudis to stop catastrophic crimes against the innocent civilians.
