NIDC completes oil well 15 days ahead of plan

TEHRAN April 07(Shana)--Drilling rig named Fateh-51 which belongs to the National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) could repair and complete an oil well 17 days ahead of schedule.

Shana correspondent in the south of the country reported that despite setting a 57- day period for completion the repair of Aghajari oil well no. 164 by the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC), NIDC experts managed to complete repairs in a 40-day period.
Director of Onshore-3 Drilling Operations at NIDC, Gholamreza Almahmoud said, The success was the result of round-the -clock efforts of our colleagues and good cooperation from the contractor.

Almahmoud also said that Onshore-3 Drilling Operations which owns19 drilling rigs is mainly involved in repairing and completion of oil and gas wells in Khuzestan, Kohkiloyeh va Bovairahmad provinces as well as islands located in the Persian Gulf.
Being ahead of schedule in drilling of oil and gas wells could be helpful in view of realization of early production programs and redeploying the rigs for drilling in other locations.
