TEHRAN (FNA)- Senior Iranian and Vietnamese officials vowed to do their best to consolidate Tehran-Hanoi relations in all political, economic, cultural and scientific arenas.

In a meeting between Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Asian and the Pacific Affairs Ebrahim Rahimpour and Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh in Hanoi, the two sides underlined the need for both Tehran and Hanoi to take long strides towards enhanced cooperation.

Binh Minh stressed that Hanoi and Tehran should try hard to implement agreements signed during his last trip to Tehran in October.

Rahimpour, for his part, called for promotion of mutual cooperation in trade and agriculture.

Rahimpour, on behalf of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, invited the Vietnamese president to pay an official visit to Tehran.

Iran and Vietnam enjoy excellent and high potentials to develop economic cooperation.

The two countries are resolved to share their experiences in various fields to pave the ground for the further promotion of Tehran-Hanoi relations.
