TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Ambassador to Serbia Majid Fahimpour referred to Tehran and Belgrade's extensive cultural and scientific cooperation, and underlined the necessity for consolidating relations in all fields.
Fahimpour made the remarks in a meeting with Adviser to the president of Serbia Radoslav Pavlovic in Belgrade on Wednesday.
He referred to Iran's academic, cultural and art facilities at different stages, and said Iran and Serbia with their expanded scientific, cultural and art potentials can develop cooperation in different fields.
Fahimpour noted that the Iranian embassy in Serbia will use all its facilities for the expansion of cultural, art and academic cooperation with Serbia and for the exchange of delegations to study different aspect of such cooperation.
Pavlovic, for his part, pointed to the rich culture and civilization of Iran, and called for enhanced activities of the Iranian culture and art throughout Serbia.
Iran and Serbia have in recent years tried to develop their bilateral relations and mutual cooperation in various fields, specially in economy.
Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani and his Serbian counterpart Maya Gojkovic in a meeting in Geneva in October, 2014, emphasized the need for both Tehran and Belgrade to do their best to widen and deepen their relations in all domains.
In the meeting held on the sidelines of the 131st meeting of Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), the two top parliamentarians called on relevant officials to utilize entire capacities of their countries to boost Tehran-Belgrade cooperation.
