The head of the Jewish organization The Values Network, Rabbi Schmuley Boteach apologized for the organizations full page newspaper advertisement accusing US National Security Council Advisor Susan Rice of having a blind spot against Jewish people.
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) The head ofthe Jewish organization The Values Network, Rabbi Schmuley Boteach, apologized onMonday forhis organizations full page newspaper advertisement accusing US National Security Council Advisor Susan Rice ofbeing blind tothe issue ofgenocide againstIsrael.I personally want tooffer an apology toanyone who was offended byour organizations ad aboutNational Security Advisor Susan Rice, including Ms. Rice herself, Boteach said onMonday.
Boteach emphasized that his disagreements withRice are strictly overpolicy.
The advertisement, which shows Rices face besidea row ofhuman skulls, was construed bysome asa personal attack, it was certainly and absolutely not, Boteach added.
The Values Network took outthe full page advertisement inthe New York Times days ahead ofRices address tothe Jewish-American lobby the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).
The advertisement alleged that Rice has a blind spot togenocide againstRwandans and the Jewish people, referring tothe 1994 genocide inRwanda and the current US position innegotiating a nuclear deal withIran.
The Values Networks mission is todisseminate universal Jewish values inpolitics, culture, and media, making the Jewish people a light unto the nations, according tothe organizations mission statement.
