Ravanchi calls for continued cooperation with Denmark

Tehran, Feb 26, IRNA Deputy Foreign Minister for European and American Affairs Majid Takht-Ravanchi said on Thursday that Tehran seeks expansion of relations with Denmark.

Revanchi made the remarks in a meeting with Danish Deputy Foreign Minister Kim Jrgensen on Thursday.


In the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on expansion of relations and cooperation between the two countries along with regional and international developments.

Referring to good and valuable cooperation between Iran and Denmark in the past, he said the Iranian top officials are determined to broaden and bolster all-out political, parliamentary, economic, commercial and cultural relations with Denmark.

Highlighting regional and international developments and challenges, Ravanchi called for exchange of political views at the level of deputy foreign ministers of Iran and Denmark to deal with emeging issues.

He also elaborated on Iran's stands in dealing with existing developments, challenges and regional and international threats.

Danish deputy foreign minister, for his part, expressed the hope that exchange of visits between the two sides delegates to be continued and welcomed establishment of political consultancy at the level of both sides deputy foreign ministers.

He underlined that Iran's nuclear program should be resolved through negotiations and resolving the issue will be to the benefit of all people.

On regional and global challenges, he said Denmark has always backed resolve of political disputes through active presence of key players.

The Iranian envoy, in the meeting briefed Danish deputy foreign minister on the country's nuclear dossier as well as the latest developments in talks with G5+1.

In a separate meeting with Danish deputy foreign minister in charge of consulate affairs, Ravanchi called for removal of the problems of the Iranian nationals residing in Denmark and facilitating cultural cooperation between the two countries.
