Iran, Belarus stress boosting scientific cooperation

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran and Belarus emphasized the further expansion of mutual scientific and technological cooperation.

Iranian Vice President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari in a meeting with Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Shumilin.

Considering considerable progress on technology (in Iran and Belarus), the two countries hold vast potentials in scientific fields. We have expressed our readiness to work with Belarus in different fields, Sattari said.

Sattari also noted that Iran and Belarus can work on politics and customs.

Shumilin, for his part, said Iran and Belarus can cooperate in scientific and technological fields.

He also hailed further cooperation between companies and technological associations of the two countries, and said Iranian companies investment in Belarus totaled $100 million.
