Iranian Ambassador to Beirut Mojtaba Ferdowsi-Pour[/caption]TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Ambassador to Beirut Mojtaba Ferdowsi-Pour stressed his country's support for the Palestinian people and the resistance against Israel.
Speaking in a meeting with the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) Secretary General Nayef Hawatmeh on Tuesday, Ferdowsi-Pour felicitated the Palestinian resistance movement on its victory against Israel in Tel Avivs 51-day aggression against the blockaded Gaza Strip, stressing Iran's support for the Palestinian nation and resistance movement until the end of the Israeli occupation of Palestine.
For his part, Hawatmeh emphasized Iran's key role in victory of resistance movement against the Zionists.
The two sides also discussed issues of mutual interests, specially the Palestinian issue.
In December, Hamas politburo member Mousa Abu Marzouk hailed Iran for its long-term and permanent support for the resistance group and the Palestinian people.
Speaking in an interview with Turkeys Anatolia news agency, Abu Marzouk referred to Irans continuous support for the Palestinian ideals, stressing that Iran has always unlimitedly supported the Palestinian nation and their need to restore their denied rights.
"Hamas delegations have always visited Iran and our movement has never severed its ties with Iran," he said.
