Iran ready to create joint science, technology parks with Azerbaijan

Tehran, Feb 22, IRNA Minister of Science, Research and Technology Mohammad Farhadi on Sunday voiced Iran's readiness to promote cooperation with Azerbaijan Republic in various fields such as establishing joint science and technology parks.




Farhadi made the remarks in a meeting with Azeri Minister of Communications and Information Technology Ali Abbasov.

The Azeri minister is currently on a visit to Tehran to take part in the ongoing conference of ministers science and technology of Non-Aligned Movement member states.

Farhadi further hoped that the ongoing conference will help pave the way for sharing technology and promote scientific and technology cooperation among NAM member states.

Conference of ministers of science and technology of NAM member states underway in Tehran will work until February 24.

Abbasov, for his part, expressed pleasure with his presence in NAM conference and congratulated Farhadi on winning high vote of confidence from Majlis.

He stressed the need for promoting academic ties between the two countries and creating science and technology parks.
